  1. first of all, thank you for posting this contest! I think they are just the most fun!

I had just blogged about our homeschooling reasons in my blog

    http://little-momma.blogspot.com/

so, it's awesome that you posted this contest :)

we get up at the same time & start at the same time daily. If there are items that we don't get to during our week schedule, we continue on the weekends :) that's one good thing about homeschool!

time for myself? ummm I guess wehn you have a 13 and 14 year old you aren't in search of how to get that alone time as when they are babies, but I always seem to have alone time during their PE.....PE is awesome for them & for me!

thanks again for hosting this contest!

  2. What a great contest.. I blog a lot about our simplified schedule this year as we took out extracurricular activities to focus on our family and schooling this year.. It works great. You can check out my blog anytime @ http://learning-by-living.blogspot.com

As far as time for myself.. I take that when the kids go to sleep and hubby is in bed since we works early in the morning. I draw a really hot bath, candles and I read my current book.. I look forward to it each day!!

I live in Montana and we homeschool two boys. thanks for entering me into your contest..

Well, since you asked and I want to share...
We are quite a busy homeschooling family.
    Mondays- weekly, Homeschool Enrichment Co-Op
    (http://www.homeforhisglory.com/)

Monday nights 1x month we have Keepers At Home

Tues several times a month hands on learning via field trips
Tues late afternoons, weekly-DD has dance for 1.5 hrs

Weds 2x month, I work at Mops in the childcare area (DD comes along)
Weds late afternoons, weekly,-DD has dance for 1.5 hrs then we run off to Weds night church activities AWANA, Bible study, volunteering at church until about 8:30 pm

Thurs are free to do catch up work/library/field trips etc...

Fri and Sat I work overnight and I try to get my domestic goddess stuff finished up.

    Sun-Church and family time.

This doesn't include any other social functions or appointments etc..

I also am a USborn book consultant

As far as relaxing, we enjoy playing family games with our DD, I also knit, scrapbook and love to read, blog on the computer and enjoy listening to music. We also go as a family out for the day as time permits to local venues, mini golf, bowling, movies but we also enjoy our time at home just doing nothing or making a meal or cookies together.

When I personally relax, I enjoy reading, knitting or watching a favorite show with my DH. He also is a great back rubber. I have had 2 major back surgeries and he takes the time to help me after a long day and wipes away any stress.

Thank you for hosting this wonderful contest!

  4. What a great contest! I just love it!

Our daily schedule usually looks like this:

7 am--Everyone up, morning chores started and personal prayer times

    7:30-- Breakfast

8:00-- School starts (Independent work, usually between 15 minutes and 1/2 an hour each subject. This gives me time to spend with the baby, reading and playing with him, and getting some housework done. If work is done neatly, and correctly, free time is allowed until...)

11:30-- Quick clean for lunch, wash hands and faces

    Noon-- Lunch

12:30- 2:00 Quiet/Nap time (I let the oldest read quietly or catch up on any extra work, as long as I don't hear her.)

2:00-- Hands on projects/crafts, and our History (Tapestry of Grace, our supplement things)

4:00-- Clean up time getting ready for Daddy to get home

    4:30-- Free time until dinner

    6:00-- Dinner

7:00-- Evening Chores (includes hygene and getting ready for bed)

    8:00-- Family Worship

8:30-- Read aloud time (currently, we're reading The Magician's Nephew, the first in the Chronicals of Narnia series).

9:00-- Bedtime (for kids. Usually DH and I are up an extra hour or so relaxing, checking chores, and having a mug of tea.)

As for our weekly schedule, it's pretty flexable.

Sunday is our Family Fun Day! You never know what we'll end up doing!

Monday through Thursday, We have school, and, during Free time, we might take a nature walk, or go to the park, if it's nice outside.

Friday is Preperation Day for our Sabbath, which we celebrate on Saturday. For the kids, it means Life Skills and Home Ec Day!

Saturday is Sabbath, church and family and friends!
